Planning ahead
Make every doctor visit count
Visits go fast. Walking in prepared means you leave with what you actually came for.
Before you go
- Write your top three questions first — ask them early.
- Bring the current medication list (or the bottles) and recent readings.
- Note changes since last time: appetite, mood, sleep, pain, falls.
In the room
- Take notes, or ask if you may record.
- Repeat the plan back to confirm: meds, follow-ups, and what to watch for.
- Ask, “What would make you want to see us sooner?”
A few tips
- The appointment-prep card on your Home screen builds this list for you automatically.
A prepared question is power. You are their best advocate — and a great one.
