Planning ahead

Make every doctor visit count

Visits go fast. Walking in prepared means you leave with what you actually came for.

Before you go

  1. Write your top three questions first — ask them early.
  2. Bring the current medication list (or the bottles) and recent readings.
  3. Note changes since last time: appetite, mood, sleep, pain, falls.

In the room

  1. Take notes, or ask if you may record.
  2. Repeat the plan back to confirm: meds, follow-ups, and what to watch for.
  3. Ask, “What would make you want to see us sooner?”

A few tips

  • The appointment-prep card on your Home screen builds this list for you automatically.
A prepared question is power. You are their best advocate — and a great one.
