Every time the AI answers a question, builds a plan, or reads a document, it costs us real money to run — every time. We don't hide this or pretend otherwise. So rather than charging you per-query (which would feel punishing and confusing), every plan comes with a generous monthly allowance that resets on the 1st. Most people never get close to it. The limits exist so that the small number of very heavy users don't make the product unaffordable for everyone — including the families and patients who need it most.

Why are there usage limits? Each AI question requires computing power, and that has a small cost. Our limits are designed to cover the vast majority of real caregiving needs while keeping JourneyKin sustainable. The best way to get the most out of your questions is to ask specific, focused questions — "What side effects should I watch for with metformin and kidney disease?" gets you far more value than "Tell me about diabetes." One clear question is worth five broad ones.
On the free plan, each question is kept focused in length so your 50 monthly questions go further. Paid plans allow longer, more in-depth conversations and much higher monthly caps.

Yes. Every paid plan — Plus, Care Circle and Whole Journey — starts with a 14-day free trial, and no credit card is needed to begin. If it isn't helping, you simply don't continue and you're never charged.
What happens when I reach my monthly AI limit?
Nothing breaks. When you've used your AI questions for the month, the AI features switch to a non-AI mode and every core tool — medications, calendar, daily log, photos and documents — keeps working exactly as before. No data is lost, and your allowance resets on the 1st of each month.
